For the past three weeks a large number of landline telephones including mine connected to Mannuthy Exchange, Thrissur, are dead. Repeated complaints made online and personally at the Mannuthy Exchange have gone to deaf years. I used to get incoming calls to my mobile till yesterday since I had activated call transfer facility. But now the mobile network is also dead. It is rumoured that the power providing batteries connected to the mobile towers are inferior and malfunctioning. Good quality batteries initially supplied are replaced with repaired ones by some unscrupulous staff of the BSNL. Whatever may be the reasons the poor customers are suffering and fed up hearing the same lullaby. "will be ok by tomorrow". I am sure BSNL is a "sinking ship" and a total perish is imminent.

My neighbor number 0480-2741374 has a complaint with land line and reported BSNL Vellikulangara. Always we get an answer that the complaint will be resolved soon and not allow to write complaint Because the complaint was not resolved my neighbor stopped remitting the telephone charges. four months back BSNL terminated service to their phone. To reinstate connection they remitted Rs. 1013 for a phone which doesn't provide any service. After remitting the amount now it is one week. Still the complaint was not resolved. Today they went to BSNL office and BSNL authorities said that it will take sometime. When questioned they told to cut connection. If this is the service how can the customers continue using this service. See, for the dead phone they remitted amount and still not getting service please take action immediately for the sake of customers.
