I bought brand new Atomic Blackeye TI length 181 serial 20742498 from Alpine base and Edge (Peter Boyer's) old shop on 2/4/13. I have used them 21 times and went to get them tuned at Boulder Ski deals. The technician said they have a "factory defect" and have de-laminated. I checked and he is right. I have bought other Atomic Skis (Nomad) for my son and ex-wife and this is the first issue I have had. What should I do Alpine Base and Edge is closed. Graham from Broomfield CO.

Talked with 'Mr. Inflexible'/Josh about my 'extenuating circumstance' relative to my recalled Device 412 bindings. I had dual hip replacement the year of the recall, but was I thinking skiing at the time? No. So I'm back to my black diamond skiing full throttle and find out my Atomic equipment is a death trap and Atomic won't work in any way with me to replace my equipment. I understand, but because of Josh's attitude on behalf of Atomic, I will never use Atomic again, and I will make sure every skier I know, and dealership hears how nasty a company Atomic is. Really too bad because word of mouth does affect a business. Nice job Josh. You should get a raise for this one. Signed: Mr. Never Again Atomic

I have a pair of Atomic GS nine skis (180cm)with CR419 bindings. The bindings are releasing prematurely at very low force even without falling. I had them release tested at Proctor Ski and Board in Nashua New Hampshire. The technician (Zack) informed me that they are releasing at approximately 75 when the factory specification is approximately 200 at a DIN setting of 8. I weight 185 lbs and ski aggressively. I may not have the numbers entirely correct, but it's sufficient to say that the bindings are very unsafe. The technician indicated that this is one of the Atomic models that has been problematic. I understand that the warranty probably expired some time ago, ,but any effort to retain my customer loyalty will be greatly appreciated.
