Dev Samaj College for Women Chandigarh was established in 1981 before shifting to its present location, it was being run in the Dev Samaj Secondary School. The college moved to its present location in 1995. The college is being run by Dev Samaj Group (founded by Bhagwan Dev Atma) with an aim of promoting higher education among the women and uplifting their social and moral values in the society.
The motto of the College is “Acquire Knowledge, Build Character” that gives importance to moral values with addition of knowledge. The College always gives emphasis on over all development of woman's personality that helps her to be a good daughter, sister, wife and mother.
Dev Samaj College for Women Chandigarh is located in sector 45-b Chandigarh. The college has a four-storied building spread over an area of 8.05 acres. It has spacious library with well stocked books, journals and magazines.
