In modern era the use of computers in medical and allied subjects is essential. Keeping in mind the importance of computers, the institute has well equipped computer Lab. HKL School of Nursing & Para-Medical Sciences want out students to be computer literate as computers are used more & more in medicines and our students should be ahead of others in the nursing profession and also make it easier for them to go abroad & work. The students are given the latest developments in their fields using multi-media educational aids & internet. Students are also made to take part in the National Health programme and they actively participate in health education & awareness programme in the community & villages.
HKL School of Nursing & Para-Medical Sciences also encouraged presenting seminars, participation in ground discussions and making project presentations. This helps them in improving their communication skills and understands their subject better which would further help them to clear competitive exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, and CGFNS etc.
In nursing courses clinical training is of utmost importance. The theoretical knowledge and clinical training go side by side and one cannot do without the other. To provide rich clinical training to our students, we have our own parent Hospital (HKL HOSPITAL Pvt. Ltd.) which is a modern up-to-date multi-specialty hospital specializing in critical care and affiliated to Govt. & Pvt. Hospitals. For specialized clinical training like Psychiatric & Midwifery, the students are facilitated at affiliated Govt. Hospitals.
Besides theoretical and clinical training the students are provided recreational facilities in their free time. Facilities of common room, TV Indoor and Outdoor games are available in the HKL School of Nursing & Para-Medical Sciences. Educational tours are conducted. The staff, students and the management collectively celebrate different festivals. The SNA organized various entertainment & cultural programme & inter class as well as inter house competitions are also held .Different occasions related to nursing profession such as internal Nurses Day etc. are also celebrated. These co-curricular activities refresh the students.
HKL School of Nursing & Para-Medical Sciences offers three courses such as Certificate Course in Auxiliary Nurse and Midwifery, Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery and Diploma in Multi - Purpose Health Worker.
Democratic atmosphere is maintained among the students and teachers. Student’s personal problems are looked into and necessary counseling & guidance is given by the HKL School of Nursing & Para-Medical Sciences teachers. We know that a sound mind lives in a sound body. So the institute essentially provides health care for its students. Vaccination schedule is compulsory and medical officer of the institute does regular medical checkup. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls with separate co-operative mess. The food is prepared under hygienic conditions with special care of well balanced nutritious vegetarian diet.
