Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode offers different kind of bachelor and master courses leading to different streams. The Institute offers 7 Under Graduate Degree courses in engineering in various disciplines and 2 post graduate courses M.E Structural engineering and Master of Computer Applications.
Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode is located in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The Institute is located in a sprawling lush green campus of 350 acres. It provides a congenial atmosphere for Technical Education. It is 15 km from Erode Railway Station and Half a km from the NH-47 between Bhavani and Chittode. Library facility of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode is housed in a separate block. The Library contains books pertaining to the courses of the study offered in this institution. A limited number of books of general interest are also available. The number of volumes at present is about 28,345. Additions are made every year. Further the Library of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode subscribes to 141 Indian and Foreign Journals with follows the open access system. Universal decimal classification system is adopted in the Library. The College has also subscribed for following e-journals IEL/ASME/ASCE/DEL through INDEST-AICTE consortium. The Library is kept to open between 9 AM to 7 PM on all week days.
Book Bank facility of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode for benefit of student belonging to SC/ST is functioning in the Library. The main objective of the book bank is to help the students belonging to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe’s communities by issuing the prescribed text books.
Placement Cell of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode a separate placement section is functioning to arrange for campus interviews and other placement works under the guidance of Dr.Tharvees Mohideen, Associate Professor, and Mechanical Engineering Department. Every Year above 90% of students is placed in various companies. At IRT Tech, each department has placement representative and a student cell co-coordinator.
The Placement section of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode is well organized by our students. They play their role very well in training the students for the placements. The aim of our placement section is to have 100 percent placement in IRTT. The Placement section organizes various programmes for improving the skills of the students. It conducts various coaching classes and moak interviews for the students to overcome the fear of interviews.
The placement Cell of Institute of Road and Transport Technology – IRTT Erode maintains a rich alumni database through which the students keep themselves updated of the happenings in the corporate area. There is a healthy, co-ordinate effort between students and faculty from all departments with respect to all placement activities. Various reputed concerns visit our campus frequently to recruit our high caliber engineers. In plant training and industrial visits are arranged by the placement cell to strengthen the Industry - Institute relationship.
