The National Institute of Speech and Hearing-NISH Thiruvananthapuram has moved into its own new campus at Aakkulam by the lake, where the Government of Kerala had transferred ten acres to NISH. The work of the campus is not yet finished. The third stage of construction is still under way. However all its activities has started functioning here. The National Institute of Speech and Hearing-NISH Thiruvananthapuram library has a rich collection of over 1,000 books, periodicals and reprints on subjects ranging from anatomy, audiology, speech, psychology to electronics. It also has a collection of CD ROMs, audio and video cassettes. The activities of the library are computerised facilitating easy material searching by users. There is also a childrens library with a wide range of magazines, short stories, comics and other informative books.
The National Institute of Speech and Hearing-NISH Thiruvananthapuram offers different kinds of courses such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate and Diploma courses.
