Shri Sheth Murlidharji Mansingka Arts, Science and Commerce College – Pachora was established in 1970 by the erstwhile Pachora Taluka Co-operative Education Society as Pachora's first college. SSMM has emerged as one of the premier college of Arts, Science & Commerce in North Maharashtra. Shri Sheth Murlidharji Mansingka Arts, Science and Commerce College – Pachora has 38 years of history as the flagship of higher education in Khandesh. SSMM plays a vital role across the entire spectrum of Khandesh Education System. The College offers a three tier package, beginning with the Junior college that caters to students passing out from school. Comprehensive courses are offered in both Arts and Science streams, preparing students to launch out into professional courses or else continue on towards graduate studies in the Senior College. At the Senior college, students can work towards a Bachelor's of Arts degree in a range of subjects spanning Languages, Social Sciences, Humanities or a Bachelor of Science degree in any one of the traditional Natural Sciences like Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Post-Graduate degree courses are also offered in the Arts stream. Some Arts subjects offer facilities for Doctoral Research as well.

Shri Sheth Murlidharji Mansingka Arts, Science and Commerce College – Pachora maintains a well stocked library with more than 50000 volumes of text and reference books, 20 periodicals and 10 News papers. Students have access to lending library, reference library and a vast treasure of current and back volumes of Journals. The access to library has been made easier. The college library provides open access system to students & faculty members, which enables them to make optimum utilization of the collection available in the library. For every student, 'Library Cards' are provided for academic performance.

Many research scholars and book-lovers have, over the years, donated a large number of their own personal collections; the Library has become fabulously rich in its collection. The library provides extension services to students, teachers, scholars, research workers and senior citizens. The library is blessed with a remarkable collection of dedicated to outstanding national leaders and educationalists. In the course of time, with an increasing number of students, the Library felt the need to acquire more space by extending the building. The library has developed an extensive Book Database of some important copies. The entire first floor of the Library serves as a Reading Hall for students and is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate around 100 students at a time. This is perhaps one of the largest Reading Rooms.

SSMM College has very well equipped Laboratories. College has main 6 Laboratories viz. Chemistry (2), Biology (2), Physics (2). Every Laboratory is having all apparatus & instruments required with latest technology. Laboratories supports to Quality Control & Research & Development to both faculties & students. Laboratory has all facilities as per standards & Regulations. Laboratory Department is promoting students & faculties for Research & Development Projects under UGC Scheme. The Laboratory Department is mainly concerned with all the three major departments of science viz. Physics, Chemistry, Botany Zoology & Math/Stat. These are oldest departments in the college, with a well reputation for academic excellence in the North Maharashtra University.

Today, the age of IT (Information Technology) Boom, So in such competitive world, college provides a best Computer & IT Training to college students for their future career. Computer Department organizes various events on IT & Computers for awareness in the students about IT. College has a special section of IT & Computer, Where various new projects are implemented for college. Computer Lab is providing a training regarding Internet, Surfing, Searching, Mailing & all online applications.
While academic excellence has been the main goal of our educational efforts, for the last 38 years, the participation and performance in sports, cultural activities, extra-curricular activities and ground training, have also received due and minute attention of the authorities of the college. There is a Gymkhana & Health Center to beside of the ground. Shri Sheth Murlidharji Mansingka Arts, Science and Commerce College – Pachora has large playing fields, which meet the requirements of all outdoor games. Facilities for indoor games are also provided. The number of boys and girls, who have benefited from these sports facilities, is indeed very large. This has enabled the college to build a strong foundation for sports and a sporting tradition, which has produced outstanding sportsmen in different games, many of whom have brought great distinction to the college and to themselves, at the national and the international level.

The College take the students to visit trade fairs conducted in various cities by industrial bodies. The students, through trade fairs will be able to meet various companies in one common place. The students were taken to various leading industries in order to give them a practical exposure of what they learn in the class room. The students submit a report on their visit and present the same in the class room. Commerce Students are not only visits to industries but also to small stock & commodity market firms.
