APS Evening College of Arts and Commerce - Bangalore is run by Acharya Pathashala Educational Trust. APS Educational Trust (1935) aims at imparting need based education. The trust and its activities have grown to the present height by the pioneering, dynamic leadership of its Founder-President Late. Prof. N. Ananthachar, who rendered yeoman service and dedicated his life to the cause of education, His vision and sacrifice, helped it grow starting from very small beginnings into an institution of its present magnitude providing service to the residents of N.R. Colony and the surrounding areas.

The college offers B.A., and B.Com, courses and the students of B.A., have the option of choosing one of the four combinations of subjects available in the college. There is also the facility of teaching the core subjects in Kannada for the benefit of Kannada medium students. Srilakshmi joined her in bringing laurels to APS Evening College of Arts and Commerce - Bangalore by winning two Gold medals for the highest score in Music. These two girls bear a testimony to the greatness of our college. The institution has a large number of alumni who have carved a niche for themselves in different walks of life both at the state and the National level.

Our cadets have outperformed in many state level and national level competitions and brought laurels to the college. In the field of sports our students have represented the state and the country and won several prizes. With a view to bringing out the latent talent amongst the students and to encourage the overall development of the personality, the college provides suitable platform through N.C.C, N.S.S., Sports and cultural activities.
Blood Donation camps are held every year in APS Evening College of Arts and Commerce - Bangalore. Students are motivated to donate blood. To inculcate a spirit of patriotism and respect to our rich cultural heritage, various cultural activities are conducted. A student welfare and cultural committee consisting nominated student representatives and teachers is formed to organize and regulate these activities. Every year the college conducts inter-collegiate competitions and our students take active part in the competitions held by other institutions and have won several prizes and shields.
