Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari was started in the year 1994 and hence has been working from the academic year 1994-95 with the blessings of lord Sri Ksheera Rama Rama Lingeswara and with the permission of govt of A.P. The motto of our educational society is to provide quality education to the students belonging to economically backward sections with very low fees. The society was formed by philanthropists only. With a view to develop the college and improve the facilities, the management collected donations from philanthropic benefactors, institutions and generous citizens. The amount was utilised for the construction of various blocks and to improve the labs etc.
Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari management is giving fee concessions to the poor students and providing free mid-day meals to needy students. Sri Koppu Satyanarayana became the president of the governing body in the year 2008. He is mainly responsible for the phenomenal growth and development of the college. He appointed Lion Darisi Srinivasa Rao Gupta as Secretary & correspondent. He has been a source, strength and inspiration to the principal and the staff. Lion Karumuri Sri Ramulu and Sri. Solasa Trinath are rendering their valuable services for the all round development of the educational society as additional chairman and treasurer respectively.

Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari has become a good educational institution in west godavari district, considering the all round development and infrastructural facilities available in the college, the management started PG courses ie M.Sc(Organic Chemistry) and M.A (English) in the academic year 2010-11. 29 students were admitted in M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) through counseling 6 were admitted in M.A (English) by the college as the course permission was sanctioned after the completion of English counciling. Separate labs and class rooms were constructed for P.G courses. Sri Vegesna Ranga Raju garu donated huge amount to start P.G courses.
Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari has an excellent accommodation with impressive infrastructure, such as administrative block, physics, computers, chemistry, life sciences blocks and permanent class rooms. Our college is having presently 164 students strength of final year, 210 of second year, 253 of first year, thus there is a total strength of 627 students. We have our own college premises of 2.26 acres of land which also includes 0.75 acres of well developed play ground.

As a result of the holistic education the college is imparting, the college secured 82% of result in March 2010 Degree exams and stood District First. All the labs are provided with latest and sophisticated equipment which can be seen in the best of Degree Colleges. The college has provided 3 separate labs for organic, Inorganic and Physical chemistry departments for the I year M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) students and provided one separate organic lab for second year M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) students.

The college provided expert training in cultural and co cultural fields to inculcate the cultural and spiritual thoughts and to explore the creativity among the students. Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari is conducting various seminars regularly in various subjects by inviting some of the eminent professors and other dignitaries to impart latest information, trends, technologies to the students. The main aim of conducting the seminars is to inculcate among the students the scientific temper, as well as to develop communication skills, social responsibilities and the like. All the departments are actively involved in the seminars and this will also enhance the attitude, skill and knowledge base of the faculty and students by providing update information.
The Students studying in the first two year of the Degree Course shall have to choose either N.S.S. or N.C.C. It is voluntary for all students. Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari N.S.S. Unit is under the control of a Programme Officer who is responsible for the entire working of that unit. The N.C.C. is neither a second line of defence, nor a paramilitary force. It is basically a youth movement in schools and colleges. Enrolment of students in the National Cadet Corps is voluntary. Students of Junior Intermediate and First Year Degree shall be enrolled into Senior Division NCC of the three years training course. There is a full company of cadets is existing in our college under the supervision of 19(A) BN NCC Eluru. Students who are physically fit and mentally sound are enrolled into First year NCC every year according to the availability of vacancies. Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari is running successfully Jawahar Knowledge Center in our college since last few years with trained mentors and imparting training in job oriented skills and interview skills to the students so as to enable them to secure employment on software, pharma, chemical and other reputed companies/industries. If a student register once, an identity card is issued which is valid for 3 years.
A separate career guidance cell is functioning in Chambers Degree and PG College - West Godavari. To provide career guidance and information regarding career opportunities from time to time by the staff and professionals on career guidance, personality development etc. Information gathered from media and internet regarding career opportunities are also displayed. Faculty members from various departments also participate in career counseling for the benefit of students. The placement cell assists students in planning their career and facilitates their entry into jobs which suit their aptitude. It serves as a channel of communication between students and organizations seeking employment.
