Cummins College of Engineering for Women was founded in the year of 1991. Cummins India Foundation helped by giving donation to start the college and hence the name of the college is ‘
Cummins College of Engineering for Women’.

Cummins College of Engineering for Women campus has two Auditoriums i.e. Dhondumama Sathe Auditorium and State Bank of India Auditorium. State bank of India auditorium is an open air auditorium which can accommodate 500 students at once. The auditoriums are used regularly for workshops and seminars on technical topics.
In vision of a quick changing software field, modern courses of latest software/hardware are carried out during summer and winter vacations. Also special lessons are given to the students for competitive examinations like GRE, TOEFL, GATE and GMAT with Personality Development, Soft Skills and Interview Techniques.

Cummins College of Engineering for Women was set up in the year 1991. It looks after the needs of the College staff as well as students. In addition, it supports the academic activities of the College. The students and the staff can use more than 33,000 thousand books, national and international journals. The central Library has various sections like Stack section, Periodicals section, Reference section and Reading Hall.
Cummins College of Engineering for Women offers Undergraduate courses to students like Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication, Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation and Control, Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology, Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering as well as it offers some Postgraduate Programs such as Mater of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication, Mater of Technology in Instrumentation and Control.
Cummins College of Engineering for Women has a separate Training and Placement Cell which consists of one faculty member that represents each department and decides the guidelines for the placement activity. However, Industrial Training is not compulsory as per University of Pune syllabus. But, the college encourages the students to go for Industrial Training during vacation particularly after third year. Sessions are organized on Resume Writing, Interview Techniques and Aptitude Test. They placement cell places their student`s in Multi National Companies like Accenture, Amdocs, ADP, Aftek, Atos Origin, Castrol India Ltd., Ericsson, Infosys and in so many more top notch companies.
