Government PG College – Sagar is one of the oldest among all government postgraduate college as established on 1-8-1964. The college has been accredited B+ by NAAC Bangalore. N.C.C. unit was started in Government PG College – Sagar from the very beginning i.e. from 1964, with one platoon. Every institution runs along with certain activities. These activities may be within or outside the curriculum. Cultural activities are co-curricular activities. The purpose of cultural activities is to help the students develop a versatile and talented personality rooted in the estimated value of our motherland.

Government PG College – Sagar has established career guidance cell last year under the government policy .Two career councilors have been appointed by the principal who have attended career guidance training twice which was conducted by the government. Government PG College – Sagar cell is running plausibly under the guidance of the nodal officer, Asst. Prof. DR. M. L. Soni and. Miss. N. R. Kumar and the committee members. Miss M. Keer and. Mr.. R. S. Tiwari. The councilors have undertaken two training programmes in the month of May and July 2006.They were provided handbooks published by the government comprising information about various careers and courses available in our country along with the required qualification and the dates or the months of the examinations.
