Idhaya Engineering College for Women - IECW Villupuram was established in the year 2001 and managed by the Franciscan sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation, in Pondicherry. The college is located in Chinnasalem, Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu, South India, at a distance of 2km from the Chinnasalem National Highway.

There is a congenial atmosphere to users. With the generous contribution by the Management and the special interest taken by the Principal, the Library is being equipped steadily and systematically.
Our college Library is well equipped in terms of the number of books, back volumes and current journals subscribed. The collection of the library includes books, journals, reports, standards, and the other richest collections in the field of Science and Technology. The Central library has a collection of over 11500 documents covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering and Technology. Rotaract is in crisp “Thoughts, Ideas and Expressions in ACTION”. Idhaya Engineering College for Women - IECW Villupuram rotaract club has undergone an intact lot of service activities during the stretch of the year. Immediately following the installation on 7, the service urge started among the members and on October 10-Polio day the associates visited 30 villages to spread the awareness of polio and its effects to the ignorant rural society. In the same month on 30 th and 31st at Villupuram, which was, attended by 10 of the rotaract members of our college. Tree plantation programmes and many more were also organized in the following month.
Idhaya Engineering College for Women - IECW Villupuram has a N.S.S Unit under the care of trained Programme Officer. It undertakes regular social service activities including adult education programs and health camps in nearby villages. National Service Scheme has been introduced at the University of North Bengal since 1982. Launched in the Mahatma Gandhi Birth Centenary year 1969, as a student youth service programme, National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at arousing social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development of the students through community service. College provides Bachelor Degree program to the college students.

Conducting placement oriented training programmes like soft skill training, stress management, interview handling, aptitude training and career development etc. Inviting various companies Human Resource Managers from various multinational companies facilitating Industrial and Institute inference and collaboration. We have placement collaboration with VELAI TODAY.COM, Chennai. Many of our students are placed the following companies through placement cell.
