Pravin Patil College of Diploma Engineering and Technology - Thane was started by Shree Shankar Narayan Education Trust. In the last 15 years, the management started a First Polytechnic by the name “Pravin Patil College of Diploma Engineering and Technology - Thane” which has fulfilled a long felt need for higher technical education in this area. The Government of Maharashtra has granted permission vide G.R. no. PTI 2001,TE -2 dated 9th July 2002, DTE letter No. 2/NGP/2001/2131 dt. 23rd August 2002. and AICTE letter No. 418 / EX/ GEG/ 2002 dated 4th July 2002 to introduce the courses. The Trust has taken care to appoint qualified staff and provide the necessary infrastructure as per DTE and AICTE norms. Pravin Patil College of Diploma Engineering and Technology - Thane is recognized by DTE Maharashtra State and approved by A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi.
