Election of Vice-President in
Punjab Nurses Registration Council - PNRC Chandigarh - (l) No election of a Vice-President of the Council shall be held at: a meeting unless not less than fourteen days prior notice of the holding of such meeting has been given to all members of the Council by delivery at their usual place of residence of a notice, which shall indicate that such election is to take place at the meeting in question. (2) A candidate standing for the election to the office of Vice-President shall be voted by a proposer and a seconded by a members of the Council present at the meeting (3) The person elected shall take over the office from the date of election.
Ballot to be taken-Voting for the office of Vice-President shall be by ballot, and if only one candidate for the office is nominated, the members present at the meeting shall be required to vote by writing "Yes" or "No" on the ballot paper, and if the majority of votes are not in the affirmative, the election shall be deferred to the next meeting of the Council when a further ballot shall be taken in respect of such candidates as may then be proposed and the Chairman of the meeting shall not have a casting vote.
