History


CCM was incorporated in 1899 through the merger of four bicycle companies in Canada. In 1905, the company started manufacturing hockey sticks from scrap steel that was used in the production bicycles. CCM purchased Tackaberry brand of skates in 1937 and continued to produce under the Tack line until 2006. The company was sold to David Zunenshine after being bankrupt in 1983 and stepped in the production of toys.

In 1991, the company was official renamed as SLM International Incorporation and acquired Kevin Sports Toys, Norca Industries and Innova Dex Sports. It was renamed as The Hockey Company in 1999 and sold some of its business operations to Reebok in 2004.

I purchased a CCM Stick for my son on 3/15/18 at B and R Sports in Taylor Michigan. Before he even went on the ice with it the grip material was falling off the entire stick. It was actually peeling away. I have pictures of the problem. I went right back tot the store and hour after it was purchased. They would not return it. They informed me to contact you
The stick was a CCM STK Tacks 4052 GR L.

Hello My name is Ed Poley , I'm 49 years old. Ive always wore CCM SUPER TACKS since I was six yrs old. For at least five yes I've been looking to replace my 652's. Ive gone around to the various sports stores and asked wich skate would be most like my 652's. I got many differing answers. Then then December 2015 I was told by an expert at National sports that the 4092's are what I was looking for. So I got them profiled and tried them out. I couldn't even take a stride without sliding or falling backwards. After many attempts to fix the problem, my blades are worn down so far they can not sharpen them anymore. I only have about 8mins on the ice. So I haven't played for quite a while. My question is. Wich skate would be like my 652's?.

Hi I purchased a 18” bike for my grandchild for her birthday and my daughter picked it up yesterday she drove it from the front door to the car and brought it home to me because the front wheel was rubbing on the fender upon looking at the problem I noticed a broken spoke and a bent one so rim is bent phoned the store in bancroft where we picked it up and the girl said she noticed something wasn’t right when she was pushing it she told us to return the bike for a refund, but problem i September loves this one and it is purple and we checked on line and can’t find another one like it I phoned store and Krystal told me that to try and get the replacement tire and bent fender will take forever to get an you help me put.

Hi there, I wanted to know if you sell CCM bike decal. My bike was recently stolen and completely stripped of all stickers. I just rrceived it as a mothers day gift not even a month ago. Witg the help of my great friends we were able to recover the bike as well as my other bike that they stole as well. Its just while now with no decal so i wanted to know how i woyld go about getting some to put back on. Thank you so much.

I have bike CCM torrent size 18 frame. 26 inches wheels. Back fork this painted in black, back tire mounting place weld crack. Bike is around 8-10 years old. Any chance to get this part, what's the warranty on frame?
Canadian tire where I got this bike told me five years warranty is on frame only. New bike i got cucm axle has lifetime. Any suggestions?

We recently purchased my son his first adult CCM bike on May 7. Had a flat tire the first day. We then took it back to the store and they replaced the bike for us. When we got the replacement bike home the same thing happened. Again took the bike back. We were given a replacement tube. Found a defect on the inside of the rim which had sharp burrs on it. We are very disapointed with our purchase of this new CCM bike The bike is CCM Savage Dual Suspension Mountain Bike 27. 5-inch. Very stressed and dissatified customer.

Purchased CCM bike at Canadian Tire on April 27, 2018. Upper James, Hamilton, ON store. $435. Credit card indicates 8667467287 to verify purchase. I have never been so unhappy with a purchase from Canadian Tire. I have to continuously tighten the handle bars after every use. The gears are always making a noise. Not being a bike mechanic, I am not sure how to tighten what. The quality of this bike does not live up to CCM standards. Can I receive a full refund as it’s under three months? Is there something that can be rectified here?.

I bought a CCM 27. 5” bike from Canadian tire mcllaigin and bovaird brampton on eight july 2018. Inside store did not have enough space to try it. On road when i tried it is v uncomfortable. I have IT band issue in my thighs. Doctor told me to ride bike. It makes so much noise when i go above 3rd gear. Took back to canadian tire to exchange today. They refused. Please advice

I recently (three weeks ago) purchased the CCM static bike. I rode with my kids once around the block the day I got it, and then once more today. During my ride today i encountered issues with the brakes. I used them once and they would not seem to release thus leaving me no choice, but to ride home that way. Then half way home the chain fell off while I was switching gears. And then once that was back on my tire went flat and I was left to walk home the remaining three km pushing a bike that had brakes engaged and a flat tire. I was not happy and arrived home both exhausted and in tears. I am appaled at the product I purchased and very disappointed. I have rode CCM bikes for as long as I can remember and was encouraged to purchase this brand in the bike shop as well.

I purchased a CCM Rooftop Cargo bag on Dec. 24, 2015 and after two days of travel this bag was no longer usable. In fact after the straps broke we lost one of our suitcases which was damaged and when the suitcase fell it also scratched our rental vehicle. We had to squish two suitcases into the vehicle carrying one on our laps. The product is 040-1180-8. Unfortunately I could not bring the damaged bag back with us because of space restraints.
