Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar and Orissa Engineering College (OEC), the twin Professional and Technical Institutes respectively are promoted by the Nabajyoti Charitable Trust (NCT) formed by Sri. Kamini Kanta Patnaik the great visionary of Odisha. The Trust started its journey of providing quality technical education by setting up Odisha’s first Engineering College in the private sector in the year 1986.
Over the last 25years ORISSA ENGINEERING COLLEGE (OEC) has grown into a premier technical institute of Odisha dedicated to quality Education in Engineering. Keeping in line with the broader vision, the trust diversified into Management Education and established Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar in 2001. It has also drawn up ambitious plans to venture into other areas of Technical Education shortly. With All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approval, CMS aims to impart quality Professional Education through MBA curriculum of BPUT. The Centre for Management Studies is spread over approx. 4 acres of land. The institute is housed in a 16000 sq. ft. area, equipped with all modern facilities for Education and Training.

To conduct training programs for management teachers as a part of faculty development program. To undertake research in different socio-economic areas. To provide consultancy to industry. To do all such activities, which will help to promote creativity and innovative skills of students. To collaborate with other B-schools and other professional bodies to provide quality management education. Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar is located in Nabajyoti Vihar, Nijigarh Kurki, Jatni, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Library facility of Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar treasure trove for Inquisitive Mind: With more than 7500 books, 40 journals (including 7 international journals), newspapers, periodicals, audio-visual CDs, the library provides the necessary support to students and faculties in their academic pursuit. The library also subscribes five e-journals, provides internet and DELNET facility.
Hostel Facility of Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar separate hostels for Boys (in-campus) and Girls (off-campus in a suitable location in the city) with adequate security and supervision and comforts available to students. Medical facility of Centre for Management Studies – CMS Bhubaneswar Rajalakshmi Medical Centre with a full-time Medical Officer located in the campus meets the medical needs of students and local villagers and also organizes periodic blood donation camps, health check up camps. It also has ambulance facility for emergencies.
