Leelabai Thackersey College of Nursing – Mumbai is a constituent college of the S.N.D.T. Women’s University and draws its objectives from the philosophy and policies of the University. Leelabai Thackersey College of Nursing – Mumbai is a professional college and conducts a 4-year programme leading to the B.Sc. Degree in Nursing. The college was established as a department in 1952 and was raised to a full-fledged college in 1964. It was recognized by the Maharashtra Nursing Council in 1965 and this recognition was confirmed by the Government of Maharashtra in 1966.It was recognized by the Indian Nursing Council in 1969. A 2-year post graduate programme leading to M.Sc. in Nursing began in 1976. This course has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
