MES Mampad College - Malappuram was started in 1965 by the Eranad Educational Association and later adopted by the more capable Muslim Educational society in 1967. An alumnus of M.E.S Mampad College, Mr. O.P. Abdurahiman, the present Principal did his B.Sc on 1975-78 and M.S.c on 1978-80 in Zoology from University of Calicut.His dedicated work and vision were largely instrumental in getting the institution accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

MES Mampad College - Malappuram offers the choicest courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in Arts, Science, Commerce and modern job-oriented subjects. MES Mampad College - Malappuram was upgraded in 1970 with degree courses in Economics, Commerce and Zoology. Later new degree courses were introduced in Arabic & Islamic History, Chemistry, Food Technology , Physics with Computer Application, English with Journalism and Public Relations and History. Postgraduate courses were introduced in Zoology, Arabic. Mathematics, Economics, Chemistry and Commerce.

There are separate PG and UG hostels for men and women students. The boys hostel accommodates 50 and the hostel for girls can accommodate 150. There are also PG Hostels for men and women. MES Mampad College - Malappuram has a well equipped library with 35,767 books, 92 journals, 12 dailies, and 17 weeklies.There are two computer labs under the computer centre. One lab is meant for students who have computer education as part of their syllabi and the other lab is common to all students, staff and the interested public. The computer centre offers short term certificate/diploma courses in Computer Education.
MES Mampad College - Malappuram has a well equipped seminar hall with audio visual learning aids like TV, VCD, Overhead Projector, Slide Projector and LCD. Students are advised to make use of these facilities as supplementary to learning inside the class room. Films of educational value and films based on the prescribed English texts (novel and drama) are exhibited, depending on the availability.There is a well-equipped gymnasium on the campus. Students can utilise the facilities available in the gymnasium at a nominal fee. The gymnasium is open before and after the classes. A sports and games committee, with the HOD of Physical Education as the Ex-officio Secretary is functioning in this MES Mampad College - Malappuram.Facilities for all major games and indoor games are provided on the campus. Talented sportsmen will be given proper coaching and incentives.
The Alumni Association of the MES Mampad College - Malappuram is very active. The Association meets every year on January 26 and among other things, discusses steps to be taken for the academic excellence of the institution. The alumni have helped the institution in numerous ways and maintain regular contact with their alma mater. The Jeddha unit of the Alumni Association is perhaps the biggest unit of any alumni organisation having more than 2000 members.
