Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki, Kerala is a self-financing institution for professional Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki is owned and managed by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, which plays a paternal role in the institution’s establishment and operations. The institution focuses on offering baccalaureate degree programs in various Engineering streams.
Contains Management representatives rooms, Principal’s Office, College Office, Conference Hall, Seminar Hall, Lecture Halls, faculty rooms, HOD’s rooms, Library, Co-operative Society and general purpose class rooms. he laboratory block consists of Computer Centre, Electronics & Communication Laboratories, Computer Science Laboratories, Mechanical Engineering Laboratories, Electrical Workshop, Drawing Hall, Multi-Gym etc. The Workshop Block consists of Electrical & Electronics Engineering laboratories, Smithy, Foundry, Carpentry, and Civil Engineering Laboratories.
Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki provides residential facilities for boys, girls and the staff members. The College has two separate hostels for boys with a total intake capacity of 450 students. The campus contains two Hostels for girls with 600 no of total intake capacity. Ergonomically designed rooms provide a feeling of home away from home. Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki has been applauded the only residential Engineering College in Kerala.
The library provides access for students to vast databases, full-text journals, audio-visual programmes in addition to an extensive collection of books. Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki has a fully computerized library with an area of 450 Square metre and has more than 25000 volumes of text books comprising 5000+ titles. The books are supplemented by CD’s and microfilms. Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki has a computer centre with sixty computers. All are branded systems with TFT LCD monitor and with latest configuration. All the systems are in a single Local Area Network managed by three servers. All the terminals have round-the-clock internet access through a dedicated leased line as well as a broadband connection.
Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki has fully furnished and air-conditioned conference hall. It can carry 30 members at a time. It has all the facilities for a conference including a multimedia system, LCD Projector, whiteboard etc. Mar Baselios Christian College of Engineering and Technology - Idukki has a fully functional Multi-Gym for students and staffs. Interested students can use this facility in morning and evening timings. The Gym is controlled and instructed by the Physical Education Lecturer.
