Roland Educational and Charitable Trust were founded in 1997 with the prime objective of promoting the cause of Technical Education in the backward regions of South Orissa and around. The Trust established Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur with the sole purpose of enlisting the services of eminent educationists for advice and guidance to achieve its avowed aim. The institute offers programs in such streams which have a high degree of avenues of lucrative placements. RIT is stepping into its tenth year due to its highly qualified, dedicated faculties and staff members under this committed management. A record of 5 batches of students have already passed out and placed in various companies across the country. We offer Bachelor of Technology Courses in ECE, EEE, AEIE, Mech, Civil, CSE, IT and Masters Degrees in MCA.
A fleet of 19 luxurious buses having 54 seating capacity each pick up the Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur students from the points close to their residence. Department has a fleet of 19 buses, nicely maintained by our transport staff. They provide regular bus services to the campus from different parts of the city for the students and staff.
Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur has a Bar-coded and Computerized Library with 2 distinct sections - Issue & Reference. Digital search and circulation for 16,000 well stocked texts and volumes. We have 84 National and International Journals. Central Library has a Collection of 16000 Text & reference books and subscribe to 84 Journals & Magazines. Collection includes books, conference proceedings, reference books, CD-ROMs, Floppies, VCDs, DVDs, Video Cassettes.
Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur have one hostel for girls, one hostel for senior boys and 3 hostels for junior students to prevent the ragging. Hostels within our campus will be ready for the students by this academic year 2010-11.
Our Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur Canteen is neatly maintained and serve hygienic food to all the students and staff members. Our canteen is of 200 sitting capacity.
Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur has a full fledged dispensary catering to nearly 10 students at a time. A full time Pharmacist is presently appointed to attend to the medical emergencies of the college residents.
The Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur has two guest houses. One guest house is with in the campus near the central library. The guest house contain 5 rooms with all facilities like a.c, t.v and telephone in it .The 2nd guest house is located at Shree tower, Berhampur which is 13km from the institute. VIP’s, institute guests and invited guest’s usually accommodated in these places.
The Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur provides staff quarter’s facility for its staff members with-in the campus .There are 20 such quarters available with all amenities.

Training and Placement cell in the Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur is headed by Er.P.R.Achari, Addl.Director and formerly General manager of Hindustan Motors;and Co-Guided by Mr.P.B.Patro, Manager HR & formerly General Manager (Mkt.) of Sarabhai Group. The Institute has a modest placement record with students bagging jobs at MNCs and reputed Indian companies in both core and IT sectors. The Roland Institute of Technology – RIT Behrampur training and placement cell offers specialized pre-placement training through prominent agencies. Through our institute T&P Cell, we have close relations with many Industries like SATYAM, INFOSYS, ASSURGENT, WIPRO, IBM etc. These industries visit us for campus drive or we send our students to a pool campus drive for interview processes. IBM has arranged a seminar on Faculties development programme.
