Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy-SVCP is situated at the village Ram Nagar near Banur, Distt. Patiala (Punjab) on the Chandigarh – Patiala National Highway. Major towns in close vicinity are Chandigarh, Patiala, Mohali, Ambala, Sirhind. It is approved by Punjab government and AICTE, Government of India and affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. The college is well equipped with well lit lecture halls, library, laboratories and amenities. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. The campus is having peaceful environment with well maintained green lawns and landscaping.
The Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy-SVCP campus is meticulously planned and is setup at 25 acres land with state of the art buildings and infrastructure in the foot steps of Shivalik hills. The campus is having 1,00,000 sq. ft. covered area. The Campus divided into functional zones like Hostels, main College Buliding, Administration Block and a sports complex.The campus is well equipped with well-planned building having facilities like well lit lecture halls, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, computer centre, library, canteen, hostel, sports complex. The campus is having lush green lawns and landscaping is done by PAU experts. The College has outdoor sports facilities such as spacious Basketball courts, lawn tennis courts, Volley Ball and an Athletic track.
To maintain institute industry interface, the
Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy-SVCP maintains an active “Training and Placement Cell” to coordinate various activities like industrial training, career guidance and placement of the students. The Placement cell in the college was established in the year 2006 with three objectives viz. placement, training and counseling. For placements the cell plans to undertake various activities like arranging campus interviews, communicating with enterprisers for job openings, organizing placement lectures, arranging referral interviews for students, searching and displaying job news etc. The placement in-charges have been helping and counseling the students in identifying their areas of interest as well as weaknesses and therefore making their mind for the future career options. Presently, the cell is working on “Industrial Relationship Program” for developing relationships with the industry people for industrial visits, guest lectures, training and looking into job opportunities.
