Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management Technology and Research-PDIMTR ,known initially as the Department of Management Technology, was established in the year 1980 by Shri Shivaji Education Society. The society was setup in 1931-32 by late Dr. Panjabrao Deshsmukh at Amravati in Vidarbha,Maharashtra, A fledgling society then, it has now developed to embrace a vast world of education which includes the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Agriculture, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Management etc. Over the years, society has been prescribed over by thirteen different heads, the present President being Shri Vansantrao Dhotre. Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management Technology and Research-PDIMTR is situated at Congress Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Shri Shivaji Education Society, with it's more than two hundred and sixty educational institutes, spread over eleven districts of Vidarbha and supported by a yearly budget of rupees one hundred crores, aptly deserves the title -"Pride of Vidarbha." A prolific teaching and non-teaching staff of around five thousand, guide and assist over one lakh ten thousand aspiring students carve out a brilliant future for themselves under the aegis of this society. The Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management Technology and Research-PDIMTR has a huge infrastructural arrangement for the students . Computer facility for students includes a well equipped computer lab in which latest computers are connected through the state of the art Local Area Network(LAN. Student can use the computing facility as per their convenience on individual basis. Numbers of latest software packages are also made available for the students to develop their proficiency in computers. The campus has a well-maintained cricket field, football ground basketball and tennis court also have a gymnasium hall, which includes light exercise equipments & a badminton court. A Well furnished MBA conference hall is available for conducting guest lectures, seminars, workshops for management students. The Guest lecture cell looks after planning cell looks after planning and organizing seminars on different topics of management by eminent speakers from corporate and academics.
